Two beautiful waffle patterned partial pieces of Japanese sea glass have been bezel set in Argentium Silver* for these one of a kind earrings. This sea glass is called ohajiki, and these pieces were used in a children's game for hundreds of years, as early as the 1600's. Ohajiki that are found with the pattern intact are often buried in the sand, allowing them to retain some of their original markings.
These earrings feature an argentium silver handcrafted "moon" with varying craters and textures for a truly unique look. Each detail has been done by hand with various burr bits. These have been hung from argentium silver ear wires.
All photos taken in natural light. Please allow for slight variations due to monitor/screen color differences. See all photos for various angles/lighting.
*Argentium Sterling Silver (93.5%) contains more silver than traditional Sterling Silver (92.5%), and has the addition of germanium. It's properties makes it far more tarnish resistant than Sterling Silver, and brighter. It is made from 100% recycled silver, so like sea glass, it is Eco-friendly.
